Look who just turned up! Uriel Herinirina, of all people. Uriel now lives in the States and dropped by my office to see his ‘ole’ professor. 👨🏿‍🎓

⌛️ Back in the day, he used to hang out with two other students, the three of whom I used to call the ‘Three Musketeers’. 🤺

We used to wrestle for hours on the big questions of life. I particularly remember wrestling with Arthur Schopenhauer’s “On the Sufferings of the World” alongside James Cone’s “The Cross and the Lynching Tree”, and we would be silenced into humility and wonder! I learned so much from Uriel – a student-cum-friend – and still do.

He was only passing through. So, bon voyage back to LA, my friend, until we meet again! (And excuse the messy office lol)
