I sustained a terrible #muscle#injury in the week before this #newyear, which left me immobile. I couldn’t sit for long; couldn’t stand for long; couldn’t sleep for long. It’s been awful.
However, I came across the attached #clip and it buoyed my spirits up so much that I wanted to share a thought with you as we begin a new year.
Why not try framing whatever we do (or is done to us) in 2023 with an attitude of #gratitude?
So, I’m #thankful:
1️⃣ Because I’ve never had a hip injury before
2️⃣ Because I strained my muscles, not my joints or bones
3️⃣ Because I couldn’t walk or do much for a few days I was able to find some rest
4️⃣ Because the muscle strain was very localised and the rest of my body was fine
5️⃣ Because it was I who sustained the injury and not my 8-year-old son, the one with whom I was exercising
6️⃣ Because it has challenged me to rethink my physical exercise routine and do better
I can go on as I’m sure you can come up with a few lessons of your own. The point is, though: I can face 2023 with an attitude of gratitude and not allow anyone to steal my joy. Talk about #mentalhealth!
What do you think? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
