Thank you for sharing this thought that came out of our conversation, Ann Palmer FCCT. The poster is so creative.

Indeed, courage is the enabling virtue that mobilises one to say, “Ok, I’m going to see what all of this is about and do it.” And this is good!

Enactment is the ‘strategic’ action that is taken to change one’s disposition and improve things. And this is better!

Courage is massive. A great many key leaders lack the courage to face up to their reality of diversity and inclusion. And if they do have the courage, they take the workshops and do the seminars. But they don’t enact what they’ve learned. They might react but they don’t enact.

They’ve come to the line – react. But haven’t gone beyond it – enact. In this way, they don’t ‘strategically’ action what they’ve learned. This is tantamount to a tick-box exercise where you choke on what you’ve learned.

When you have the courage, roll with the momentum and take ‘strategic’ action – i.e., enactment. Courage will take you to the line, enactment will take you beyond.

Consultancies, such as Rockstone Consultancy and Fig Tree International Ltd, specialise not only in taking you to the line but in strategically taking you beyond.

Because courage without enactment is all smoke. It’s dead!
